I used to be resistant to the whole idea...
One of the core commitments at Empower Network is to listen to uplifting/motivational/empower audio daily.
I resisted for a long time... I thought, come on... just tell me what to DO and I'll go DO it and make some money! (I'm sure there are quite a few people out there, and even on my team who still have this mindset).
However... as soon as I committed to listening to audio daily (and the other 7 core commitments in Empower Network) my entire business changed... and fast.
The reason behind it is this... when you put garbage (news, negativity, etc) in your head, that's what comes out, of your mouth, on your blog, in your world.
The problem with that, especially if you're trying to build a business, online or out there in the "real" world... is no one wants to spend time with, connect with, and especially JOIN someone who is putting more garbage into the world.
Listening to audio daily also allows you to HEAR how leaders speak, the words they use, the phrasing they use, the philosophies they believe... and then you can make those things part of your speech, your writing, your life... and low and behold, that creates change.
Because you can't stay the same and have big change... and you know that.
Anyway, today I did a lot of listening, after falling off the wagon a bit over the holidays. It made me remember all that much more why I have committed to listening to audio daily.
Personally I love to listen to Inner Circle audios... which are part of Empower Network... but if you're not in Empower Network yet, you can still start this habit, there are videos you can find on youtube, and plenty of podcasts out there to listen to. You just have to decide to do it!
Here's just a little snippet of an audio I was listening to today, and the aha moment it created... I LIVE for those amazing little Aha moments now... they are always followed by growth (and more money lol).
